Biography:

Was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on May 19, 1906. Parents moved to Ellsworth, Wisconsin, when he was two years old. Educated in the public schools of Wisconsin and Walderly Academy, Superior, Wisconsin. Moved to Texas in 1926. Went back to Wisconsin 1930, where he went to school two more years, then back to Borger, Texas in 1934. Now retired as Plant Manager of the Southwestern Public Service Company of Amarillo. Now resides in Amarillo with his wife, Irene.

He is a member of the Baptist Church.

Was raised in Hancock Lodge No. 229, A.F. & A.M., Ellsworth, Wisconsin, on May 29, 1934. Affiliated with Mobeetie Lodge 972, A.F. & A.M., Mobeetie, Texas. Was Worshipful Master in 1942-43. Was Secretary 1952-55.

Exalted in Borger Chapter No. 437, R.A.M., Borger, Texas, on October 23, 1943. Was High Priest in 1947-48, Secretary 1949-1952. Was District Deputy Grand High Priest of the 42nd District in 1949. Grand Representative of the Grand Chapter of Quebec near the Grand Chapter of Texas. Member of the Order of High Priesthood. Was elected Grand Scribe in 1953, and after advancing through the usual offices, served as Most Excellent Grand High Priest in 1956-57.

Greeted in Borger Council No. 354, R.&S.M., on November 15, 1943. Was Thrice Illustrious Master in 1946-47. Recorder 1949-52. Was Grand Visitor in 1948. Grand Representative of the Grand Council of Wisconsin near the Grand Council of Texas. Member of the Order of the Silver Trowel. Was elected R:I: Grand Principal Conductor of the Work December 1, 1970. Advanced to the M:I: Grand Master November 30, 1971 and served through December 5, 1072.

Dubbed and created a Knight Templar in Borger Commandery No. 96, K.T., August 24, 1944. Eminent Commander in 1947. Recorder in 1950-52.

Member of Texas Priory No. 23, K.Y.C.H. Knighted in 1947.

Ordained a Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priest in Ascension Tabernacle No. XX, Amarillo, Texas in 1950. Served as Preceptor in 1954.

Received the Order of the Red Cross of Constantine in Llano Estacado Conclave No. 96, Amarillo, Texas. Sovereign in 1965.

Member of El Paso Scottish Rite Bodies, 32 degree.

Member of Royal Order of Scotland since 1964.

Member of West Texas York Rite College No. 36.

Member of Khiva Shrine Temple in Amarillo.

Member of Borger Chapter No. 811, O.E.S., Borger, Texas. Patron in 1950.
